PRESSURIZED GAS LANTERNS CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND HAVE INJURED AND KILLED MANY PEOPLE! LIGHT AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! • Tips: • -If the lantern starts to flicker/dim, try turning the cleaning lever several times. If that doesn't do anything the pressure is low and it is time to pump again. • -If the lantern hasn't been lit for a while, it may take a minute for the fuel to reach the mantles, so if it doesn't light right away don't automatically assume there is a problem. • • Instructions for lighting, as stated on the Model 228H lantern from the video: • TO FILL • 1. Close pump knob and fuel valve firmly. Fill in level position. DO NOT TIP. • 2. Replace fuel cap. Tighten firmly. • TO PUMP • 3. Test pump. Close pump knob firmly, place thumb over hole in pump knob and pump. If you feel little or no resistance, oil or replace pump leather. • 4. Open pump knob one complete turn left. Cover hole in knob with thumb and pump 35 strokes. Close knob firmly. • TO LIGHT • 5. Turn cleaning lever down. • 6. Hold lit match near mantles. OPEN VALVE WHEEL 1/4 TURN ONLY. Mantles will take a few seconds to light. • 7. When mantles glow brightly (no flame) open valve wheel full left. • 8. Add pressure. Keep good pressure in lantern. DO NOT adjust light output. NOTE: Flames other than at mantles indicate flooding. Close valve wheel firmly. Permit flame to burn out. Allow lantern to cool. Review instructions. • TO TURN OFF: Rotate cleaning lever several times. Leave in down position. Close valve wheel firmly. • Facebook:   / weekendhandymen-420780474617450
