TFP Student Action volunteers engaged students at George Washington University about the ills of socialism. On their way to class, hundreds of students picked up the TFP flyer: “10 Reasons to Reject Socialism.” • TFP displayed a thought-provoking banner featuring a quote by Sir Winston Churchill, “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” • Debates ensued. Many students were supportive. However, some self-identified commies and socialists naturally disagreed and resorted to shouting insults, vulgarities, or ripping up flyers.
