When Police DONT Have to Read Rights

You’ve heard of the Miranda Rights, aka Miranda Warning. (You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you. You have the right to an attorney. So on and so forth.) • Did you know that the police actually DON’T have to read you your Miranda Rights upon arrest? • That’s right. Police only have to read the Miranda Warning to you prior to a custodial interrogation. That means that if you start blurting out confessions without being asked any questions, then you can’t blame the lack of Miranda Warning. • THIS is why it is important for you to know your rights instead of relying on the police to tell them to you. • Also find our content on: • Facebook.com/MatthewHarrisLaw • Instagram - @MatthewHarrisLaw • Google Maps – https://g.page/MatthewHarrisLaw • Website - https://matthewharrislaw.com/
