THE BIG NEWS!!! So here it is! This is just the tip of the iceberg of our VERY EXCITING news...On Monday, April 22 (coincidentally the 55th anniversary of the Carpenters signing with A M Records and the launch of their career) we had the very rare opportunity and privilege of a private meeting with the man himself, Richard Carpenter! This is an experience that I've been dreaming about since I first launched my Carpenters tribute in 2015, nearly a decade ago. With the help of our dear friend Erin Gatlin, we were able to spend some time with Richard at his car collection warehouse Yesterday Once More in Newbury Park - Thousand Oaks, California. Richard spent over two hours with us, as he talked about his many cars (approximately 50; at one time he had around 100) and took us through the Carpenters memorabilia room. In this video Richard plays for us a bit on his Baldwin piano.
