This rugosa rose, “Hansa” was planted as a tiny 1G “stick” back in Spring of 2018. We knew we wanted it because of its winter hardiness, high salt tolerance, and wonderful fragrance and hips (much like Thérèse Bugnet, our other rugosa rose). It barely grew its first season but we knew of its potential. • This year, it really has put on an amazing show and rewarded us with so many blooms. We couldn’t be happier with its performance. It bloomed a little later than Thérèse Bugnet but so much the better because we can enjoy a continuous flush of color in the southwest corner garden. • If you want to see more of the plants that we grow around the house, please check out our latest Illinois Zone 5 Garden Tour video! • We garden in Zone 5b outside of Chicago, IL (USA). • Thank you for watching and subscribing! • #gardendoodles #gardentours #illinoisgardens #gdgardentours #flowers #rose
