Bill Dundee vs Tommy Rich Jerry Lawler Commentary 82380 Memphis Wrestling

Jerry Lawler is Lance Russell's guest commentator today as a sparkling and almost angelic Tommy Rich returns to the CWA and is welcomed back by the crowd with the usual fanfare. But trouble is brewing and Memphis fans are unaware that Tommy has changed a bit since they last saw him--he's grown up now, a man, hardened by the road--and, with Lawler in a cast having broken his leg playing football, Tommy's experienced eye can spot an opportunity here in the CWA. But first, before he can think about mining the gold, he has to beat another fan favorite, Bill Dundee, who is a notoriously vexxing opponent. • The end of the match is controversial. Tommy whips Dundee into the ropes and goes for a back drop but apparently inadvertantly spears Dundee's groin in the process. Although Dundee is doubled up in pain and clearly the victim of a low blow, Jerry Calhoun will inexplicably allow Tommy to easily cradle and pin the Superstar.
