Ghost towns are fairly common but not all ghost towns are abandoned for the same reason. Most towns that cease to exist do so for economic reasons typically, but not so for the town of Portlock or Port Chatham Alaska. Portlock was a thriving town until the 1930's when something dark moved into the forest surrounding the small town. Once Portlock's residents started to vanish and their horribly mutated bodies discovered in the lagoon, that the towns folk of Portlock realized they had a serious problem.
