Be a loyal SUBSCRIBER thanks for watching! • Painting your cabinets and doors is easy, just follow these steps: • 1. Clean the surface of any oil, fingerprints, and dirt. • 2. Lightly sand the surface with about 180 grit sandpaper. The goal is to smooth out any bumps and give the paint something to stick to. • 3. If there is a lot of sanding dust, blow off the surface and use an paint brush to help remove the dust. • 4. Caulk and wood putty the grooves and dips. • 5. Use a tack cloth to wipe away excess dust. • 6. If bare wood, spray ZINSSER BIN Primer Ultimate Stain Blocker in a RED container on to the surface. Once this dries, you must sand it because anything wet on bare wood raises the grain. • 7. Mask off the area you don't want overspray to get on. • 8. Paint: BEHR, Alkyd Satin Enamel, interior/exterior, for metal wood doors, trim cabinetry. • 9. Spray tip 311 (6 fan), or a 211 for a 4 fan in a focused area. • 10. Gray paint: Behr 7900 white base, custom color BL 1oz (28), LL 1oz (224), RL 0 oz (32). I'm not sure what all the numbers mean but that is what was on the Home Depot label. • I used the Graco Magnum airless paint sprayer, and I give an excellent review! I've been using this for years with much success.
