Now many in Assam want their independence back. The United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) claim that Assamese culture is under threat, that profits from tea and other production in the region is not being invested in the region, and that they have support from the people in their fight for independence. The Indian government however have classified ULFA as a terrorist organisation, with the Indian army fighting the group on the Assam border. While the disagreement continues, so does the violence, with an estimated 15,000 dying as a result of the conflict. Velocity Films reports from the region, gaining rare access to the ULFA's bases in Bhutan. • For more information, visit https://www.journeyman.tv/film/337 • Like us on Facebook: / journeymanpictures • Follow us on Twitter: • / journeymannews • / journeymanvod • Follow us on Instagram: / journeymanpictures • • Velocity Films - Ref. 0337
