The hydrogen comes out in larger quantities and then I use this hydrogen to run the motorcycle engine. • 7. Various of Ricardo Azevedo making adjustments on his motorcycle • 8. SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Ricardo Azevedo, Moto Power H2O creator: • This is a test I used to do in order to demonstrate that I'm producing hydrogen from the water. • 9. Various of Azevedo putting the hydrogen from the motorcycle into a small container with soap where we can see the bubbles • 10. Various of Azevedo setting fire to the container with bubbles that explode • 11. SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Ricardo Azevedo, Moto Power H2O creator: • This motorcycle is run on hydrogen taken from water and in a hybrid test I did, it makes over 500km per litre of water. • 12. SOUNDBITE: (English) Marcelo Alves, Mechanic Engineering Professor at the University of São Paulo: • The only thing is that we need to inform the public that there is no magic bullet to solve the energy crisis. I mean, what is happening is an electrical vehicle, it is not running on water, it is running on electricity on the battery. But we need to commend the efforts of everyone at home that is concerned and maybe we need to provide help so they can fully develop the vehicle so it can become a solution for someone that is willing to use this sort of device. • 17. Various of Azevedo preparing a solution with water and putting it in the motorcycle tank • 18. SOUNDBITE: (Portuguese) Ricardo Azevedo, Moto Power H2O creator: • We are here in the Tiete riverside, one of the most polluted rivers of Brazil and of the world. I did the experiment with distilled water, which is the most suitable, but as every researcher, I also did the experiment with the polluted water from Tietê River. And for my surprise, the polluted water from Tietê River worked as much as the ideal water. So, now I use the Tietê River water as fuel in my motorcycle. • 19. Various of Azevedo taking water from the Tietê River • 20. Various of Azevedo putting the River water in the motorcycle tank • 21. Various of Azevedo riding his motorcycle • LEADIN: • A Brazilian inventor has created a water-powered motorcycle which he claims can travel up to 500 kilometres (300 miles) on just one litre of water. • In order to save money on his daily commute, Ricardo Azevedo adapted his 1993 Honda NX 200 motorcycle to use water rather than gasoline. • STORYLINE: • ==== • Clients are reminded: • • Find out more about AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/HowWeWork • Twitter:   / ap_archive   • Facebook:   / aparchives    • Instagram:   / apnews   • • • You can license this story through AP Archive: http://www.aparchive.com/metadata/you...
