This 1955 Chevrolet Gasser is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. Gasser is a term used to describe the drag cars of the early 60’s to mid 70’s. Looking rude and almost obnoxious these cars have withstood the test of time and are still extremely popular to this day. This 55 is a one off custom build that has the most extensive paintjob I have seen. Featured on the cover of HOTROD magazine in 12/11 it is absolutely, positively, insane the amount time and energy put into this beauty. Using a lot of the old school techniques that were popular during the Gasser era you will never have to worry about getting your car mixed up with another one. The reddish tint on the windows is an exclamation point on this classic hotrod build. Tilt the front end forward and the heart of this beast is exposed. A 454 cubic inch big block has been outfitted with blower and a set of dual quads to quench its thirst. The chrome headers look great and go well with the rest of the chrome front end. Power is handled through a M22 4 speed making this thing an absolute blast to drive. The 12 bolt POSI rear end has a 3.08 gear set giving this 55 the capability to cruise down the highway. Open the door and the black interior is clean and comfortable with the split bench being a welcomed addition. The leather is extremely soft and something you don’t see often in a car this style.
