Detailed discussion on the Coracoacromial arch, Subacromial space , Subacromial bursae of the glenohumeral joint. The Coracoacromial space is a osteoligamentous vault formed by the Coracoid process, The acromion process, the coracoacromial ligament and inferior surface of acromioclavicular joint. The space contains the tendons of rotator cuff muscles, the long head of biceps brachi and also the subacromial burase. The Coracoacromial arch serves as protection of underlying strutures as well as prevents the transalation of humeral head superiorly. • The subacromial space is space below the coracoacromial arch and above the humeral head. Its also known as the suprahumeral space and is very siginifiant so that this potential space prevents impingement of structures passing below the coracoacromial arch. • The bursae aroung glenohumeral joint are the Subacromial bursae and Subdeltoid bursa. • Watch lecture for more details • For more doubts and notes............. • Follow my official Facebook page:   / tonystutorial   • or my Instagram profile:   / tonystutorial   • • TONY JOSEPH • ASSISTANT PROFESSOR • KANNUR MEDICAL COLLEGE
