In this video, we talk about the basics of international travel to Greenland and how to get to Greenland. • Commercial airlines are the only way to get to Greenland unless you arrive on a cruise ship. There are 4 cities worldwide with direct flights to Greenland which are Copenhagen, plus three cities in Iceland (Reykjavik, Keflavik and Akureyri). Direct flights to Greenland from Iceland take around 2-3 hours, while the flight from Copenhagen to Greenland takes around 4 hours. However, daily connections from Canada and the US allow for an easy one-connection trip to Greenland. • All five regions in Greenland have at least one international airport with Kangerlussuaq Airport (SFJ) being the biggest transportation hub in Greenland.
