On October 24th 2015 I got to fly in this 1978 Hughes 269C Helicopter with Canyon State Aero out of Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, AZ • A Huge thank you goes out to Tiffani Leigland, General Manager to Ron Baier, Chief Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor for an amazing flight. Website is http://www.canyonstateaero.com/ • I was very excited to fly in this 269C that was manufactured by Hughes Helicopters before being purchased by Schweizer in 1986 and acquired all rights to the helicopter from McDonnell Douglas, which had purchased Hughes Helicopters in 1984. Schweizer was purchased on August 26, 2004 by Sikorsky Aircraft. The Schweizer 300 models fill a gap in the Sikorsky helicopter line, which is known for its medium and heavy utility and cargo helicopters. • In February 2009, the 300C was rebranded as the Sikorsky S-300C
