It's a red flashlight, also known as a telescope flashlight, that uses your Android phone's (or tablet's) display to produce varying amounts of red light. It also can use only the backlight to provide light through a black display (very little light) or move to maximum light (white display). • Using a red flashlight will protect your night vision, which is perfect for people that work in the dark, for example if you are doing some astronomy and need light to make a telescope adjustment but don't want to lose your ability to see in the dark.
