Killer7 Version Differences Guide: https://www.speedrun.com/Killer7/guid... • Killer7 Version Differences Playlist: • Killer7 Version Differences • Note: this description has been edited as of March 2023. Previously, US (United States) was used to designate the NA (North American) release. NA is a more accurate designation, so all instances here have updated, but the video itself still uses US. • Killer8 is a completely different experience between the North American and Japanese versions. Even though the JP version released first, I show the US footage first for the sake of easier comparison. For quick reference, I refer to US Killer8 as NA8 and JP Killer8 as JP8. • In NA8, enemies have above-average health and can kill you in one hit (two for Young Harman). You can also only hold five vials of thin blood. In JP8, enemies have an absurd amount of health, but you can tank the same amount of hits as you can on Deadly. You can hold eight vials of thin blood, too. • As a result, NA8 and JP8 feel completely different. I’m not sure if I would call NA8 a straight “upgrade,” but I prefer NA8 because the buffed enemy health can be agonizing on JP8 (I’m looking at you, Ayame), and I like higher challenge from the one-hit kills. That said, I can see why someone might prefer JP8 because of the fact that you can tank more hits. It’s really more of a “sidestep” than anything else. • The PAL version is the same as the NA version in this regard. • The serum code works for all versions of the game. • ***** • Twitch: / adrianvg • Twitter: / adrianvg1_
