We are not responsible for any injuries that may result from this process. • Torsion springs should be replaced with springs that are the same size and specifications as the existing ones on the door. Do NOT try to overcompensate using a larger wire gauge or length. Using springs that are the wrong size can be dangerous for both you and your property. • Always begin by releasing the tension on the door and disengaging the opener. The springs will be replaced with the door in the closed position. • Equipment needed: • Pack of 2 Dura-Lift torsion springs • Winding rods • Socket wrench • Drill • Contents: • 0:44 - Step 1: Disengage garage opener • 0:56 - Step 2: Loosen torsion spring with winding rods • 1:41 - Step 3: Unbolt stationary cone from center bracket • 1:55 - Step 4: Loosen cable drums from rod • 2:27 - Step 5: Slide new torsion springs on torsion bar • 2:46 - Step 6: Bolt springs together at center plate • 3:00 - Step 7: Tighten springs to rod (4 quarter turns for every foot of door height, plus 2 turns) • 3:26 - Step 8: Tighten screws on torsion spring and test door tension
