First Prize, 2024 Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition • 💡What's your best memory from winning a competition? • The first thing that comes to my mind is adrenaline. It was a very demanding but at the same time motivating and satisfying few days. • 💡Any thoughts about classical music in? • About classical music I could only say: passion and dedication. • 💡Whats your best memory from winning a competition? • I have a special memory of the Prizewinner concert. So much good energy there and to have experienced with it my dear oboe colleagues. And many photos everywhere!!!! • 💡 Have done other competitions in past? • No, it was my first experience there with competitions. • 💡What are your musical plans for this year? • I am participating also in ARD competition and in November I will start my new job as solo oboe in SWR Symphonieorchester. I am so much looking forward. • 💡What is the most adventurous thing you’ve done in your concert life? • Playing oboe is already an adventure.. ! I also remember once in Hannover where I realised just 10 min before a Schuman Rommances concert, that I had no C in my oboe (temperature misalignment). I had to play with my colleague’s oboe spontaneously. We basically knew each other on stage! • 💡Any episodes you might want to tell from your time at Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition? • I would like to expose the beauty of that place.
