Nanofiber spinning is the process that is based on suppressing surface tension of polymer solutions, and separating solvent and polymer from each other. At the end, the polymer is collected onto a collector in the nanofiber form while the solvent is removed from the system by evaporation. • Production of nanofibers with the systems of electroblowing, solution blowing and centrifugal spinning is shown in this video. • Electroblowing is the system that uses electrostatics and compressed air for spinning of polymer solution, while solution blowing uses only compressed air. Both systems use coaxial spinning nozzle, structure of which is seen in the video.
