A busy and eventful visit to Foxton sitauted on the Cambridge to Hitchin line during the evening peak of Tuesday 24th April 2018. The station (as well as the trains serving it) is operated by Great Northern. It is located north of a busy level crossing, which is monitored from the nearby signal box. There is also a freight-only branch (the Barrington Light Railway) that diverges to the west beyond the crossing south of the station, which serves a nearby cement factory quarry. • Services: • A train leaves hourly in each direction all week (including Sundays). Up (London-bound) trains call at Shepreth, Meldreth, Royston, Ashwell and Morden, Baldock, Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Stevenage, Knebworth, Welwyn North, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Finsbury Park and London King's Cross. • Down (away from London) trains go to Cambridge.
