Beginning slow and somber, rhythms and tempo gradually build throughout the piece to an energetic finale. • Deterling was commissioned to write Duet in C Minor (originally for Alto Saxophone and Cello) in 2014 by Byron Klimek and Zoë Scherer. • I’ve adapted this duet for a variety of instruments.
