The purl stitch is the second foundation stitch in knitting. Here, we're learning how to do it English style, with the working yarn held in the right hand. • Purling is the reverse of knitting and Stockinette stitch is a fabric created when you knit one row, and then purl the next (which is on the reverse side) - yielding a fabric where all your stitches are facing the same way. Unlike garter stitch, each side of this fabric looks different: one with Vs, and the other with bumps. It also has a tendency to curl along edges, which is why most garments are made with a more stable edge in garter stitch, or with a ribbing. • Visit our shop for your own Stockinette Stitch Cowl kit! • https://wellknitco.square.site
