Larkspur Express is a four-person detachable chairlift located at Beaver Creek Resort. The chairlift runs from near the Talons Restaurant up to the top of the Larkspur Bowl. The chairlift primarily serves the Larkspur Bowl area of the resort, which offers advanced and intermediate bowl terrain. The chairlift also serves as access to the lower half of the resort such as the new McCoy Park area, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead mountains. The chairlift was manufactured by Doppelmayr CTEC and installed at the resort in 2005, replacing a 1983 Doppelmayr triple chairlift of the same name. • Beaver Creek Resort is a ski resort located near Avon, Colorado. The resort is located in Eagle County, about a 2-hour drive west of Denver, a 2-hour and 20-minute drive east of Grand Junction, a 45-minute drive west of Frisco, and a 30-minute drive east of Eagle. Beaver Creek is known for its world-class amenities and customer service as well as having a large variety of terrain for skiers and riders of all ability levels. Beaver Creek Mountain, located at the top of the resort, features a variety of terrain from steep expert runs used annually for the FIS World Cup off of the Birds of Prey Lift to the gentle beginner slopes located near the summit of the mountain. Grouse Mountain features an isolated pod of advanced and expert terrain while the nearby Larkspur Bowl offers intermediate bowl-style skiing. Bachelor Gulch, which is located lower on the mountain, features a variety of intermediate and beginner trails as well as ski access to the town of Avon. Arrowhead Mountain is located at the bottom of the mountain and was a separate resort until it was purchased by Beaver Creek in 1993. McCoy Park is the newest expansion of the resort, opening in 2021, and offers unique beginner gladed bowl terrain. The resort was opened by nearby Vail Mountain in 1980, making Beaver Creek the first resort acquired by Vail.
