In this episode, I review the so-called Planar killer which is the very first version of the Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens released in 1964. This vintage lens is famous for its special look, incredible bokeh, and propensity to flare. We take a closer look at some 35mm black and white images and discuss the characteristics of this lens. • Gear used: • Pentax SP500 • Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 (8-element version) • Oberwerth Isar hand strap (Available here: https://www.oberwerth.com/en/shop/acc...) • Films used: • Ilford FP4+ • Ilford Pan F • Scan dev by MeinFilmLab.de • If you'd like to get in touch or see some early behind the scenes footage, find me on Instagram:   / analog_insights
