We embarked on an exciting adventure to Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary! • Our journey began with a flight from Ahmedabad to Jorhat, making a brief stop in Kolkata. After a delicious and authentic Assamese thali lunch in Chouka, we settled into our comfortable homestay. • The next morning, we awakened to the melodic symphony of birds surrounding the homestay. Eager to discover the wonders of the forest, we headed to the sanctuary. Inside, we were captivated by the vibrant birdsong and diverse birdlife. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly encountering a family of three Western Hoolock Gibbons – a majestic adult male, his graceful female companion, and their playful juvenile. • However, a note of concern arose when a train passed through the park, posing a potential threat to the sanctuary's wildlife. Overall, our experience at Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary was truly unforgettable.
