In this video, we will connect the fiber optic cable to the SFP port of the OpenWRT router and configure it on LuCI. For Wallys DR4029, the sfp interface shown as eth1, just like how the rj45 port did. • Configure the interface is very simple, we can treat it as a normal interface and select the correct the protocol, fill in the required information (for example, if you are using PPPoE) and we should be good to go. • If you are looking for how to setup PPPoE with VLAN, check out this video:    • OpenWRT - Configure PPPoE with VLAN   • OpenWRT supports most of the router with sfp port; however, for certain devices, such as the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X-SFP and Mikrotik RB922UAGS-5HPacD, SFP may not fully supported. • To find more information about unsupported SFP, please visit this link https://openwrt.org/unsupported/sfp • Video timeframe: • 00:00 - Router, SFP Port, SFP Module, Fiber Optic Cable Overview • 02:02 - SFP Interface on OpenWRT LuCI • 03:49 - SFP Interface on CLI / SSH • If you like the video, please share and subscribe to support the channel.
