This week the world witnessed clear evidence of War Crimes on TV. We must address the undeniable war crimes in Palestine. With over 25,000 civilians killed, a genocide is unfolding. Immediate ceasefire is imperative, and the UK and allies should recognize the Palestinian state. • This week, I supported the SNP amendment against the UK government's Offshore Petroleum Licensing Bill, as it lacks evidence-based assessments for new licenses and undermines their effectiveness. I also opposed the Bill at the second reading. • The Bill fails to address key issues like reducing fuel bills, ensuring energy security, and supporting a just transition for job security. • Scotland has the energy; we just need the power. Roll on independence. • I also urged the government to eliminate Standing Charges for customers, emphasizing the burden they pose, especially for low energy users in the face of soaring energy costs and a cost-of-living crisis. On the latest Aye Matters Livestream I hosted John Rowley, Democratic consultant and we discussed the US elections and the potential threat of Trump returning to the White House. • Next Friday I am hosting a constituency cost of living event for my constituents. Join me at on Friday, February 2, at the Reconnect Regal Theatre, Bathgate, from 10 am to 3 pm. All are welcome. • #WarCrimes #Independence #CostOfLiving • 00:00 War Crimes • 00:43 Offshore Petroleum Licensing Bill • 01:14 Energy Standing Charges • 01:32 Cost of Living Event • 01:51 Aye Matters discuss US Elections • 02:22 Advice Surgeries and Contact Details • Keep up-to-date with Martyn Day across social media:- • Facebook:- / martyndaysnp • Twitter:- / martyndaysnp • Linkedin:- https://www.linkedin/in/MartynDaySNP • Instagram:- / martyndaysnp
