The painting of this mural tribute to Louis Armstrong by Odeith began on October 5th, 2015 on the wall of the Lighthouse Ministries, located in Lexington, KY. They are a Christian rehabilitation center for men who are looking to change in order to ensure themselves of a brighter future full of faith and self-confidence; substance-free. The steps to this future are provided by the loving staff of Lighthouse Ministries, who want to see these men thrive in a hopeful direction. They also provide free meals to the locals of Lexington who are in need. The thought behind this mural was to be a work of art that could help bring the community together. Louis Armstrong is an iconic figure in the realm of musicians, who nearly everyone can pinpoint as a major influence in the genre of Jazz, and music as a whole. Music is a universal language, no matter what your ethnicity may be; we can all relate.
