Abandoned Ohio Train Yard with Control Towers CSX PampLE Railroad

We explored this PL E and CSX train yard with huge control towers abandoned in Ohio. They even abandoned the train cars! We met some awesome new friends. • Located in Northeast Ohio, this abandoned train yard sits forgotten and covered in graffiti. This train rail yard features lots of buildings and served as a train switcher and control tower. The Pittsburgh Lake Erie Railroad Gateway Train Yard aka P LE opened in 1957. P LE railroad operated the gateway yard and the rail line with trains traveling between Youngstown and Pittsburgh. P LE was absorbed by CSX in 1993. Much of the railroad track is unused and much of it has been removed.
