Devina discusses how design can make a huge impact on the final product. In this talk she tells the story of how she designed a closed loop insulin monitoring and delivery system while making sure the device is aesthetically pleasing. • Data driven designs that drive social change by aiding clusters of users who need solutions. • • Devina is an industrial designer and an innovator who believes in ‘design for cause’ and making it affordable and easily accessible to the users. Recognising that no design journey is without hurdles, she believes in marching ahead till the Holy Grail is achieved while adhering to “do not quit till you achieve what you believe in”. When the world is drifting towards disruption, she is gliding towards generating aggregates and clusters to address the unmet needs of the users. This is reflected in her design of the closed-loop insulin delivery system, Mizu Ha (a B2B platform for farmers along with smart irrigation clubbed with IoT) and the design for Child healthcare and Immunisation Records. She has been conferred with the Red Dot Award, 2014 for the insulin delivery system. • This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
