I'm Uri from TouchUpDirect. Today I'm going to talk to you about Tesla touch up paint. We get a lot of requests here at TouchUpDirect about Tesla colors. People ask if the paint is unique? The paint is, but the procedure is not. Tesla tends to live in the city where it's very difficult for cars. Tesla gets a lot of common small scratches, scrapes, scuffs, and wheel rash. At TouchUpDirect, we have a perfect match for OEM quality touch up paint for all Tesla Models. • Remember before you do your touch up, always test the color and make sure you purchased the right color. Every one of our touch up paint kits includes a test card. In this case, we have the Tesla Monterey Blue, and it looks like a good match. If you make a mistake while doing your touch up, don't panic. You can contact us, and we're here to help and guide you. • How to fix a back bumper scratch? • Here we have a small stone chip. We're going to use the touch up brush. It is always good to wash your car before starting your touch up project. The first step will be to take a wax and grease remover to clean the damaged area. If you see part of the plastic, aluminum, or steel, you need to use a primer. Try to keep all the paint within the confines of the scratch. Do one coat and let it dry. I applied two coats of primer and let us dry for about 30 minutes or so. To achieve an OEM quality finish, you have to let the paint dry. Do not brush it. After using the primer, apply the color next. We're going to add our first coat of color. The color is the Monterey Blue Model S. As we apply the color, it's going to look different than the rest of the car. This is a trait of waterborne paint; as it dries, the color will come in. We've added three coats of color. The paint now is the proper color with good coverage. Let it dry for about 30 minutes or so in between. To achieve an OEM quality finish, you have to let the paint dry, do not rush it. Now I'm going to add clearcoat. It will be at a total of 2 to 3 coats of clearcoat. Use the same procedure. Let that dry about 10 to 15 minutes in between coats. Adding the final coat of clear, this is my 3rd coat. Let it dry for at least 24 to 48 hours, and you can polish and wax it. • 0:00 Tesla Model S Touch Up Projects • 1:08 How to Touch Up a Back Bumper Scratch • 3:54 How to Fix a Deep Scratch • 14:25 How to Touch Up a Front Bumper Scratch • 16:14 How to Use a Touch Up Pen • 18:41 How to Touch Up Small Nicks • Have a great time with your Tesla.
