Don't be surprised if you see more variations while you are learning/searching signs. In my personal experience I have seen it become more common to use the rhetorical version of why for because. It seems as though the signs for because that I learned many years ago are being phased out. Now it is more common to see either the rhetorical why or simply sign why in place of because. Still it is always important to be aware of all of your options while remaining open to seeing and accepting new signs.
