1977 Ithaca Muzzleloader First Time Out

This is my newly acquired Ithaca Muzzle-loader. I am a newby and these are my first shots. From what I have read the Ithaca Hawken rifle is a very well done replica. It is marked as a .50 cal but is actually a .54 cal. I'm a little puzzled by that. If you have an explanation don't hesitate to share it.
