How to patch and repair carpet with leftover scraps 👇 • This is a cheap and easy DIY that I think everyone should know about. • Although I patched my stairs, you can use this same method on any carpet in need of a pick-me-up. • If your carpet is ripped, stained, or damaged in a small area, this trick is the perfect affordable solution! • More often than not, carpet installers will leave their scraps behind. So check closets, crawl spaces, garages, etc. to see if you can find some you can use. • If you can’t find any scraps you can steal some carpet from an inconspicuous area in your home (I’m talking inside closets or any space you don’t really see very often) • If you’re stealing carpet from a closet, use a utility knife to remove the patch of carpet you want to replace. Then use that carpet patch as a stencil to remove a section of carpet the same size as the section you removed. Then all you need to do is swap them! • Boom! In no time your carpet will be looking good as new! • #diycarpet #carpetpatchwork #carpetrepair #budgetfriendlydiy #staircarpet #easydiys #homediyproject #carpetflooring
