There is a drain pump test that can be done and the drain pump assembly is actually not that expensive to replace, so that is always an option as well. Don't feel bad. Even the really stylish looking Kenmore series 700s can run into problems from time to time. But most everything is fixable. Someone always finds a solution! The Kenmore HE2, Kenmore HE3 and HE4 are stackable and very modern in appearance. Fast Eddit's Appliance Repair even reports that these high efficiency models eventually need a little TLC, it's just a matter of time with everything, even Bosch, LG, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, you name it.
