Your 5 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for April 5, 2024: • • Happy Friday! We're now on day number three of the same system that brought storms to the area mid-week...but we're now on the colder side and more rain and snow showers will be around for our Friday. Temps today will struggle to get into the low 40s, and the difference maker today is the wind. Winds will gust out of the north between 15-25 mph, making it feel unseasonably cold for early April. • • We begin to turn the tide this weekend with clouds and lingering rain and snow showers persisting into early Saturday, giving way to some late-day clearing. Afternoon temperatures will still be chilly in the 40s. • • The pick of the weekend is by far Sunday. We'll have sunshine with late-day high clouds with temperatures that finally get into average range in the upper 50s. • • The push of warmer temperatures on Sunday will be associated with a warm front that will send temps next week surging! • • ECLIPSE HOME-OPENER FORECAST • • The latest model guidance this morning continues to bring showers in here early Monday. The big question will be when do the showers clear out and how much sun can we develop as the system weakens right over us? • • Clouds are expected in the area leading up to the eclipse on Monday afternoon, with high-level cloud cover likely around 3 p.m., allowing for filtered sunshine as the moon becomes visible. As of now, models have been consistent in keeping some clouds in the area, but brief pockets of clearing will be mixed in, too. • • READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
