Shortstory writer and broacaster John Samuel has acted in the film. • It is a period film. The incidents of the story is supposed to be happened in Kerala before the emergence of Communist movement. • The film is based on a kannada story written by Puttanna Kanagal. • Sreekumaran Thampi changed the atmospere to fit in to the kerala atmosphere. • The climax is very symbolic.
