In this video I show you how to make a container for your 3D printing filament that will prevent humidity from damaging unused spools. When the filament soaks up water from the air, print quality will suffer. Water logged filament will cause bubbling in prints because the water turns into steam when going through the hot end. • The filament dehumidifying chamber costs about the same as a single roll of filament, but will last forever because the dehumidifier is rechargeable. When it soaks up its limit of water you just plug it into the wall and a built in heater causes the beads to release all the water they have captured. If you properly store filament in a low humidity environment it should last much longer and make quality prints the entire life of the spool. • Store up to 5 full sized filament spools in one bucket • Easy to open and close lid with a water tight seal • Rechargeable dehumidifier that does not ever need to be replaced • Filament Clip to help keep filament from unspooling • Filament Clip: • http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:599315 • BOM: • Bucket - http://amzn.to/13abvut • Lid - http://amzn.to/16t1iLC • Dehumidifier - http://amzn.to/1z3AkpI • Weather Station - http://amzn.to/1qZH458
