🔺The Efteling’s newest attraction, Danse Macabre, is now open! And what an attraction! After more than two years, the successor to the Spookslot at Efteling has officially opened today. We were there to capture the event on film, with one of the first onride videos and interviews featuring Koen Sanders (director), Tim Nusselein (project manager), and Remco van Hoek (lead engineer). The ride consists of multiple rotating choir benches on a tilting platform. The ride system is produced by Intamin, and the model is a Dynamic Motion Stage. • In Danse Macabre, visitors are drawn into the tragic fate of conductor Joseph Charlatan and his orchestra. On Friday, October 13, 1876, during a performance of the Dance of Death, the orchestra members were seized by a dark evil that manifested as a monstrous, cat-like creature.
