Today, Urban games released some great news for Transport Fever 2 console players... • Guddai, I'm Stephen Spry, and today, Urban games announced that the upcoming, and final, update for Transport Fever 2 will be released shortly... in Autumn :) Although no date was specified, my best guess is it will happen around Gamescom time - ie Wed, 21 Aug 2024 – Sun, 25 Aug 2024 • THE most prominent feature of the Autumn Update is great news for Console players in particular... there will be cross-platform support for mods so players on console (and PC) can download and use their favorite mods directly in the game. • With the upcoming update, official mod support for Transport Fever 2 will be extended to PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S • Urban Games have partnered with Mod.io to include a • directly integrated mod browser • in the next update to TPF2. • With the mod browser, it will be possible to browse through the extensive range of mods from the community directly in the game, subscribe to your favorites and then use them in the game. • Beside the well known Steam Workshop, the mod browser will also support the mod.io platform from the creators of ModDB. By working together with them, Urban Games will offer a common mod platform for all Transport Fever 2 editions. • It's planned that a wide array of mods will be available to all players immediately upon the release of the update. • The established Steam Workshop will continue to be supported for players of the Steam version and will ALSO be accessible via the integrated mod browser. • Other Improvements??? • Improved road traffic is a key feature of this update. • The traffic simulation has been revised! Cars will be better distributed on multi-lane roads and bypasses, instead of having to queue through the middle of the city. • To make it easier to build these roads, the construction tools are also going to be improved. • For example, it will be possible to select existing bridges and tunnels and change their type after they were built, stations and depots will automatically align themselves with the road and when placing roads and tracks, help lines will support you in building exact angles. • Sounds like some great changes for both PC and Console players. • It should be fun! :) • Now... as previously announced in March, this Autumn Update will be the last major update for Transport Fever 2. • After that there is something new and great in the pipeline. • Hmmm... I wonder what that might be. • I've got a feeling that whatever it is will be compatible with TPF2... after all, why go to THIS much trouble for this update... and then change it up completely??? • Doesn't make sense :) • OK - that's it from me - hoo-roo for now! • See you next time! • Cheers, • Stephen Spry • • Chapters: • 0:00 Console News • 2:05 Improvements for ALL
