For the video we used an Infrared gas grill because the control valve clamp onto the manifold which is similar to many barbecues. However, there are control valves that thread into the manifold and there are valves that bolt through the manifold. For these installations the attachment is slightly different because of the mounting design but the basic repair is still the same and the steps will be the same steps to follow for a safe and effective repair. • The control valve is not a normal grill parts to be replaced -- is not something that will normally wear-out in the use of the barbecue grill. If the control valves need to be replaced there is usually an other repair that needs to take place to ensure the barbecue does not damage the valves again. Usually this reason is a grease fire in a very dirty barbeque. Although common reasons also include installing burners incorrectly after cleaning or mis-setting the orifice or air shutter. • This instructional video should help you to see how to remove the control panel, locate the internal parts of the BBQ grill and remove the control valves.
