A veterinarian's intern year can greatly shape the way they practice for the next 30+ years. It is essentially the formative year of a veterinarian and it is high time someone had a frank discussion about internships in our industry. There are many pros and cons to doing an internship, and there are many unknowns and unregulated aspects that don't get mentioned at all. I decided to make a video addressing the reasons why you should do one (or not).
