2023 was a very significant year for Guild Wars 2. ArenaNet decide to change their business model, and in stead of getting an expansion every few years and some filler content, we now get a new expansion roughly every year, with major updates every 3-4 months in between. • This new content pacing has allowed them to provide more consistent updates to the game, and seems to be better for the developers' work-life balance overall.
