Yes you heard it right and it's not a joke! • As obvious as it is to say that all that we naturally thrive for is to be healthy and that one of our biggest fears would be to become disabled, it's not the case for everyone! • So what in the world is pushing these people to have such desires? • BIID is a very rare condition characterized by a mismatch between the mental body image and the physical body, leading to an intense desire for amputation or for disability. • In order to feel better, Nick and Chloe who suffer from this rare disorder, try as much as they can to pretend that they are actually disabled which helps them see themselves as they think they should be. • They are actually actively seeking a way of reaching their goal. Years ago, Nick got in contact with a man who offered help him.
