This shows you how to update the firmware on your AVS. The video shows a Windows computer being used, but instructions are the same for Mac. • The firmware file and program needed are located on the AVS product page on our website • https://www.retrousb.com/product_info... • After downloading you will need to unzip the scoreboard program. We used 7-zip, but any file archiver will work. • You DO NOT do anything with the firmware file other than download it to a easy to find location on your computer. • Once you open the program connect your console's USB cable to the computer and power your console on. You will see the red light icon in the Console Details tab change to green. • Note- You only need to have a USB cable connected to the console to update. It does not matter if anything else is plugged in or not (HDMI, cart, or controllers). • Once you open the program connect your consoles USB cable to the computer and power your console on. Select the firmware file and the update will begin. Video is in real time, console should update in less than a minute. It may be slightly longer on slower computers. • If your update fails for any reason (power outage, computer crash, USB cable gets unplugged), just try again! You can't hurt / brick / damage your console by a failed firmware update.
