Hey everyone! These easy, no bake granola bars are SO yummy! They taste just like a heartier Rice Krispy treat, and they're great to pack in your lunch! Since making this batch, I've remade them three more times -- I love these bars even more than the store-bought brands! Give them a try, and have fun adding in any mix-ins that you want! I'll be featuring more fan photos in an upcoming video, so be sure to share your creations with me on my Facebook page (http://on.fb.me/14LNQ1d) • Check out more study snacks from other Tastemakers here: http://bit.ly/1m5wQtD • Adapted from Lauren's Latest (http://bit.ly/1nnJa8A) • Ingredients: • 1/4 cup butter • 1/4 cup honey • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar • 2 cups quick cooking oats (not rolled!) • 1 cup puffed rice cereal (Rice Krispies work great) • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips • Directions: • 1. Stir together puffed rice cereal and oats. Set aside. • 2. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter, honey, and brown sugar. Cook for 3-4 minutes until mixture starts to bubble, then reduce heat and cook for additional minute. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract (mixture will bubble). • (Note: In the video, I say to cook for 2 minutes after butter starts to melt. I believe the above instructions are clearer but both methods will yield the same final product) • 3. Pour mixture over oats and puffed rice cereal and gently stir to coat. • 4. Press into a greased 9 x 13 pan. For thicker bars, only use half of the pan. Sprinkle on mini chocolate chips and refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. • 5. Slice into 8 equal bars. • Note: I love doubling this recipe for even more granola bars, and the resulting granola mixture fits perfectly into a 9 x 13 pan! • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ • Follow my newly made KawaiiSweetWorld Instagram @kawaiisweeteats:   / kawaiisweeteats   • Find me on Facebook and send me pictures of your kawaii treats and crafts: http://on.fb.me/14LNQ1d • Check out my channel: http://bit.ly/18keK04 • Music courtesy of Audio Network Clap Happy
