Every time the battery is disconnected or becomes completely dead the radio will ask for the code. There are many reasons your battery may have died, and getting it charged again is hassle enough. Finding out you have to reset the radio only makes it worst. • How to retrieve the Honda radio code: • • The 1st way to retrieve the radio code is to look in your glove box or owners manual and it comes on a card the size of a credit card. The code is on a sticker usually stuck or placed on the inside of the glove box. It may also be placed or stuck in the owners manual. This sticker will also have the radio serial number on it as well. • The code can only be used 5 times and then it automatically needs a new one. if you haven't used it more than 5 times then just enter in the code and it will unlock. If not, then take it to the dealership to get a new code. • • Another way to retrieve the radio code is to bring it to your local Honda dealer and they will be able to take care of it for you. • • If you can’t make it in to a Honda dealer you can also look it up online using the link below • [link doesn't work anymore and been removed by youtube] • You will need the following information to retrieve the Honda radio code. • • Zip Code • • Phone Number • • Email • • VIN Number • • Serial # • You can find the vin number in several locations such as the driver’s door jam, the bottom of the windshield and on your registration • If you've lost the card, you can get the serial number of the radio if you have 2002 or newer Honda. Turn the vehicle to the on position. Press the preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time while turning on the radio. A 10 digit serial number will appear on the radio display, it will say UXXXX LXXXX upper and lower, and 4 numbers. Bring it the to the dealership or enter on [link doesn't work anymore and been removed by youtube] website to get the radio code. • If you have a 2001 or older Honda the serial number is located on the body of the radio unit. the radio unit will have to be removed to see the code. At this point you may want to bring the vehicle to your local Honda dealer unless you are confident you can remove and re-install the radio unit without damaging it. • How to Enter in the Honda Radio Code: • Once you find or receive the Honda Radio Code just enter it in using the radio preset buttons. The radio should start working properly once you enter in the code. • You can only enter the codes up to 9 times, and after the 10th it will lock up. • If you a problem of code error E? (Enter the codes to many times and you cannot push the buttons anymore). Well this will save you a trip to the dearly just disconnect your + hook up to the battery make your your car is off keep your wire off for 2 minutes then hook it back up start your car it should say enter code then put your code in once you find it. • What if you cannot get the code? Well, you can use trial and error. Keep on entering the codes a hundred times a day and eventually you'll be able to unlock it. There's only 5 digits and the codes are between number 1 and 6. Good luck with that. • The video will also show you how to reset the time on the clock, you can simply fast forward to minute 03:00. • Problem solved?
