Tip: Warm up the engine for a little bit and the oil will drain much better. • Here's how to change the oil on a 1981 Honda Trail CT110. I don't ride it very often so I only clean the oil filter every few years. The oil filter is located within the right side cover. Make sure you have a spare gasket if you decide to remove the right side cover. The right cover also requires removal of the footpegs and kickstart lever. If it haven't been accessed in a long time, you most likely will have to deal with stuck/stripped screws.
