It also takes on other names, perhaps you will have found it in some pastry shops with the denomination of pattona. It is made, as you can well imagine, with chestnut flour to which various ingredients are then added such as raisins, dried fruit and rosemary which must not never miss. • In this castagnaccio recipe I made some changes compared to the one that was made at home, and that was taught to me by my grandmothers. Actually I didn't like it very much and in fact I added some ingredients that I think make it tastier! It seems that this dessert was born in a convent in Lucca and from there it spread throughout Tuscany, but other mouth-watering versions are also found in the North, especially frequently in Lombardy, Piedmont and Veneto. • It can be recognized among many by its appearance, a low, moist cake full of pine nuts and with an irresistible scent of chestnuts and rosemary. • Making this recipe with chestnuts is really simple, then I find it a smart dessert as it can be prepared in advance and can be kept for several days. Being a homemade dessert and very tied to the territory, it is also found with some small differences, but this is the starting point. • ► Ingredients to prepare the castagnaccio: • Chestnut flour 400 g • Water 550ml • Sugar 50 g • Bitter cocoa 30 g • Raisins 220 g • Rosemary 1 sprig • Rum to taste • EVO oil 120 g • Salt 1 pinch • The recipe on the site: https://www.casapappagallo.it/ricette... • In Casa Pappagallo there is always something boiling in the pot! Something happens every day, a new recipe, a vegetable just planted in the garden or some experiment halfway between a scientific experiment and the search for a new food product. • Setting foot in Casa Pappagallo is like entering a whirlwind of recipes, ideas and hints taken from our everyday life. • #LucaPappagallo #CasaPappagallo #Chestnuts • ► YOU CAN'T MISS THE NEXT VIDEO RECIPE! • You can find them all on https://www.casapappagallo.it • 🔹 SUBSCRIBE! →    / @casapappagallo
