🇺🇸Washington, DC Doi Moi is an upscale restaurant that serves Vietnamese street food! Apparently they have a speakeasy downstairs and it’s got a cool vibe. Food wise, while I didn’t enjoy all the dishes, some definitely stood out, like the meat sampler tower. It’s really fun to have this big four plates (Instagram worthy for sure) stacked up! Spring rolls were crispy, chicken dumplings were soft and perfectly cooked. We also had their Brussels sprouts which were crispy and delicious! They currently have a guest chef and have a seasonal menu, so we tried their grilled lemongrass pork skewers and they were beautifully presented. Taste-wise, I thought the rice noodle was a bit overcooked. Scallop Carpaccio was awesome because I love scallops :D Overall, if you like that sour, acidic taste, this is for you. To save money, you can go during their happy hour which is from 3pm-6pm. I actually got $55 off of bill using inKind app (they have some random coupons from time to time!) and ended up paying ~$65 for all the things!
